Dow Cover Co. Inc. (DCCi) was established in 1947 as a maker of replacement automobile seat covers and later expanded as a contract manufacturer of sewn products. DCCi currently manufactures diversified lines of sewn products in four main categories: (1) recreational and promotional soft baggage, (2) defense contracting, (3) medical, and (4) other industrial applications. Manufacturing takes place in a 34,000 sq.-ft area with the help of computerized ETON unit production system consisting of 78 work stations and a medium-ply Gerber cutter. Gerber’s Accumark computer aided design system enables Dow Cover Company to offer extensive product design services.
